No P2 viewer playback possible

I connected the 16GB P2 card via Addonics, it is seen as HDD by computer, start P2 viewer, see the clips, thumbnails and all.
When I doubleclick, the clips data is displayed and the duration is shown in grey.

But no picture at all in the playback window, only black.
When I hit play nothing happens.


Whats wrong?
 
What computer?

And have you tried copying volume to the computer and viewing it there rather than off the Addonics.
 
Same results with contents copied to HDD: The contents are recognized, thumbs shown, but no playback, only black screen.
New Dell Precision M90 2.16Ghz Core2Duo, Avid certified for HD
 
Now P2cms doesn´t playback the clips from within P2cms via P2 viewer: as before black, nothing happens....


P2 viewer still works
 
Reinstalled. First P2cms, then P2 viewer.

P2viewer doesn´t work from within P2cms.

Must be a software bug that should be reported.

P2 Viewer and P2CMS often don't play nice when both are installed. I went round-n-round with these two programs.

FWIW: Pani recommends NOT installing both at the same time. I'd recommend running P2CMS only, as it's more full featured than P2 Viewer.

Also, make sure you have Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5 installed.

Is .net framework 3.5 included in brandnew Win XP SP2 (how do I find out?)

Yes, P2 Viewer is embedded within P2CMS

No, SP2 does NOT include .Net Framework 3.5. Google search for it. There is a dedicated MS site for the .Net Framework downloads.

All I can say is it worked after I upgraded to 3.5 :Drogar-Happy(DBG):

Did you deinstall P2 viewer and reinstall P2CMS?

Yes, uninstall both programs and then install P2CMS only. I should have mentioned that the first time.

You might have a real gremlin there. :evil:
