no mountable file system error

I used about 20 cards - 3 have failed to mount.
Using a Macbook to copy the cards into - card.cdr - files, that I later mount, then import into FCP.
17 worked but 3 give a - disk images failed to mount - warning - with the reason being - no mountable file systems.

is there a fix?
or do i need to bring to a disk recover service?

did you ever get (or does anyone have) a workaround for this?...getting the same error and haven't found any solutions yet...currently researching the forum...
