Hi all,

just to let you know that my last shor movie is online.
I made it specially for the Parallel Lines contest and it was shot entirely on my Canon 7D.
I hope you'll like it.

Cheers

I AGREE

Didn't care for some CG parts and I completely understand how hard it is to pull some of that off. The rest of the film was truly amazing ! Excellent interior lighting

5 stars

I loved it, great work! Nice twist on the unicorn dialogue reveal.

Not so sure how it has anything to do with Philip's brand values though, the piece appears very anti-establishment and anti-technology themed...

The footage looked awesome! Looked like a real movie. Does it just take a ton of lighting to get really clean footage on interior locations? With the kit lens and a few lights in the kitchen I'm getting too much image noise for my taste with my T2i. The footage looks good overall, but even on my fairly well lit face I can see like dancing noise like mini microblocking grain or something on my face and in the background. It isn't noticeable at all on the LCD screen, but is very noticeable on my CRT monitor at full screen.

simply amazing!
that's really good man!
great story, and nice integration of footage with CG (only smoke/heat seemed fake to me).
water is called the blu gold of the century, and it must make everybody think about it.
well done!

Wonderful. Some CG aspects looked stronger then others but you did a great job of creating this world and having me believe i'm in it.

How long did it take to do ? Was it mostly done by green screen? Looking forward to hearing some behind the scenes

Where IS a Good Place to Find all of these CG tools.. I want to play too.

Blender....it's free.

Anything else good is going to cost you a fortune for a legit copy. The learning curve is STEEP on all of them and when I say steep.....I mean like Skyscraper steep to even do simple things. So, be prepared to dedicate your life to the craft. lol.

Hi all, and thank you so much for your nice comments.
This movie take me 3 month of work. I know that some CGI shots are not perfect but I was alone to do the whole post production (expect for the statue and the earth that were made specially by friends) and during spare time it was not so easy. Ok, perhaps it's not a good excuse because I should have been more realistic and do something less ambitious, but my goal was really to try to tell a real story in 3mn. A kind of personal challenge if you want ;-)
Almost every shot (excepted the whole sequence into the cave) were shot on green screen. But I'm currently working on a making-of movie in order to give better answer to your questions ;-)

Cheers

I think what you have is great. The CG/3D beats the heck out of a lot of the stuff on Sy Fy. The bottom line is are you taken into the story and was it powerful. And it was. Only thing I would really say is I'd like to see more shots of them running, or getting up on the roof, stuff like that. So the feel would be more fluid, but definately a good short and something to get a lot of people's attention.

Good Job!
