no more reservations until after ibc

From the RED website: "NOTE: New reservations submitted between 9/1 and 9/17 will not be processed until the week of the 18th since all of us will be at IBC"

I just sent in my reservation on the 4th and didn't know about that of course because it wasn't on the website.

What does this mean? That I will be at the end of the line after all the people who sign up at ibc? That wouldn't be fair...
 
My Brother an I put ours in a few days ago as well.... I would certainly hope that they will go in the order of the faxes in the fax machine. We're probably about 3 inches down in the stack at the moment.
 
I did mine on the 5th and the money went off of my credit card at 9.00am this morning, therefore I would be dismayed if it went through after those at IBC but I doubt Red would allow this to happen, they obviously have someone working back home putting the reservations through still so it would still be done in order I'm sure.
 
I can't wait to get the RED 300mm lens and put it to use in a few of the genres I shoot: sports, nature, and stock footage.

I'll also reserve the RED 18-85mm wide zoom at the earliest opportunity.

I got a note that they are processing it. Sent my reservation on August 17th.
But no cue-number so far.

I am right there with you Gibby! I will be putting in for the zoom as well. In the mean time I haven't received conformation on my 300mm reservation yet. Guess I just don't trust that my fax machine sent a legible copy. :)
 
I just called Red to see if I could confirm my reservation fax was received... no one's there and they have a voicemail message... the crazy part is that their voicemail is full and you can't leave a message. Wonder how many calls they've gotten.
