No Iris or Focus on Olympus 35-100 F2

I just mounted the Olympus 35-100 F2 lens on the AF100, no iris control or manual focus.
We were using the Olympus 4/3 to M4/3 adapter. Could this be the problem? Or does the camera need updating?

Sept that allowed the lens to work on Panasonic
cameras...
or was that the 14-35 lens?

I'm using the 35-100 with the AF100 but I got the Panansonic m4/3 adaptor. I've got MF and iris control.

I have found that the lens sometimes wont seat properly with the adaptor and control de-activates. A jiggle of the lens and then it all comes back.

I've used both Panny & Oly adapters with identical results. Oly adapter costs 2x Panny adapter, but not any better.

I hope you are using lens support/rods for that lens. It is mandatory. Lens port is only rated for 1kg. and that one weighs 1.65kg without the support collar.

Hey James, I had the same problem and only just solved it. My lens shipped out with 1.1 firmware and the camera body could not recognize the lens even when trying to update it. I took the lens to my vendor where we threw it on a Oly Pen camera body and used the Olympus updater software to update it to 1.2. Now it works like a dream. No way to do it with the AF100 body though.

Here is the Olympus firmware site. Odd that they say it can ONLY be downloaded using a Panny camera, not an Oly camera. My lens came w/ver.1.2 so I haven't tried this.

I can't get the auto focus to work with my 14-35. Just the auto iris.

No continous auto focus, just spot focus.

I had this same problem and could not get the lens to accept the firmware update until I got an Olympus PEN and hooked that up to my computer and used Oly's software utility. it updated the lens and now it works with the af100
