No budget Horror short film shot entirely with T2i

still needs a horror look i think- its more of a horror movie with some comic relief than it is a horror/comedy like shaun of the dead, no? (I mean look how it ends).

It looks like comedy because lighting is non existent , reshooting would be only rescue in this situation.

Lighting is existent. I used DP Lowell lights and fluorescent soft boxes. I'm also a dentist and have 0 training in film other than reading online.

non existent gee way to help

he cant go back and reshoot but he can go back and grade

slapping a "cool" preset on it would be better than nothing

u need more low key lighting thats what he meant

around 8:10 theyre talking about some supposedly dramatic creepy sh*t and its lit very flat like theyre in a cheetos commercial or something

next time put that soft box at a 45 or more angle to the camera and use little or no fill maybe throw that DP on the background with a gel and/or cookie make a shape of light or something like that

do you still have time to go back and grade this?
[..]
your look doesnt support your story
Thanks for the links. I agree on the color of it.

What I usually do, is to use Levels (to adjust the blacks and highlights), Hue/Saturation to adjust the color saturation and then Curve to give a slight tint to it. These 3 plugins together works better (for me) than the 3-Way color corrector.
