Hey guys,

Here's a teaser trailer for a no-budget feature film I wrote and directed recently. Totally DIY -- All friends and family and a lot of creativity. Shot this on the DVX100B.

I cut this teaser together to try and get some support in the post-production process. I've just started editing the film, and hope to get someone on board to do sound-design and a few other things.

Some background: I had a short film at SUNDANCE in 2004 with Kevin Spacey's Triggerstreet TOP 10, and am curently trying to get another bigger feature film off the ground with the help of this one.

++ UPDATE (DEC 04_06) ++

With the help of this teaser, some great guys just signed on for score and sound-design (more later). We're already trying some really cool stuff in that department -- If everything works out of course.

Also, still looking for some talented people to handle some creative web-design ideas i have for the movie. If anyone knows anyone, feel free to contact me.

There's other stuff to, but for now that's it.

oh and i guess it never hurts to ask -- if anyone has any contacts with any agents or producers, I'm trying to get another movie off the ground that I could use some help on. ;)

thanks for sharing - really tight teaser - i like the mood and the tone of the images. good choice of music. what is it about ?
just to give you some feedback and what i thought it could be about(so you can gauge if you are getting your idea across)

-young man in a city (drug user? white collar?)
-somehow gets in trouble with a gang (drug related)
-is trying to solve a crime or get over this problem
-anyhow the main character gets mixed up in something violent.

hope i am not way off - good luck !!

Yeah, 24p. Edited and CC'd in Vegas. And fantasticfilm, you're way off. ;) It's a pretty strange film in the vain of stuff like Darko or Pi... drama, thriller and some sci-ci elements all mixed together. Hard to logline. It was actually a short I did a couple of years ago, which i always wanted to do as a feature.

There'll be more stuff over the next couple of months, as I edit away.

Oh, and feel free to ask any questions. I'll do my best.

Looks great and sounds great. But tell me, what was the title of the Sundance 2004 film you submitted. I'd like to see it if possible. Good luck with your current project.
 
The sundance short is called "this moment"... it was part of Kevin Spacey's triggerstreet TOP 10. It's on my myspace profile... on the right -- just below the I, Boy teaser: www.myspace.com/dimeworth.

I don't have any real experience with FCP, but i know its quite powerful. I'm just very used to VEGAS, and love it. To be honest though, It wasn't CC'd to death... about 60-70% of the look is in camera... the rest is careful CC'ing.
