C100: No aperture control on Tamron lens

Has anyone had the issue of the C100 not communicating with Tamron 17-50 2.8 non-vc? I own a BMCC EF and it works fine and I lent my buddy the lens and he can't control aperture on his cam. Anybody have this issue?

Thanks

I have the Tamron 17-50 VC version and it works without any problems. Is his C100 working with other lenses? Have you tried the Tamron lens on another canon body?

No I haven't had any issues at all. The wheel adjusts the aperture just as on the 24-105 and I bounce between both frequently. Sorry to hear you are having issues.

Tried some basic troubleshooting? Does the lens work on another body fine?

*edit

I have the non vc BTW.

My Tamron 17-50 non-VC 2.8 is my go to lens. It works as perfectly on my C100 as it has on my 7D for years. Incredible lens.

I had a VC and it worked fine on his C100. His C100 is working with a Tamron 18-200 and a Rokinon 35mm fine. I unfortunately don't have another Canon body to try it on but it works fine on my BMCC...
"Did he plug the handle in?" Yes, as far as I can remember he plugged the handle in when he tried it. I just don't understand why it work on one EF mount (the BMCC) and not another (C100).
