Hi Vaughan
With Church ceremonies I stop the main cam while I go up to the altar and film the register signing so that is normally under 19 minutes...I don't compile DVD's with one huge file but have a clip for each event...during a dance recital the main 1 hour file is split up anyway into clips for each dance so Mummies can navigate to a specific clip as they only want to see their little darling in action anyway. Funny thing is that IF I do have a clip that exceeds 19 minutes, my DVD Authoring software goes crazy and really doesn't like it at all ...that couls quite easily be the fact that the timecode was missing because I just imported the MTS file and not the entire folder!!! Hmmm maybe all the help and assistance here will solve that problem too...thanks guys!!!
Now, my HMC72's and HMC82's were also quite happy to import two clips with the same name ...especially dance recitals where both cams run continuously... but it definately didn't duplicate any clips ..must be something unique with the 150 series!!
I think I only ever had one father of the bride who rambled on for 37 minutes!!! Most of my wedding speeches are below 8 minutes and only a smattering go into the 10 to 15 minutes range.
