NLE for HVX200A

Currently using Pinnacle Ultimate 14 since I don't need anything fancy for what I do. I am getting an HVX200A, will this software edit the HD from the camera. If not can anyone suggest something that will work but is not very complicated?

Most folks here will recommend Final Cut Studio, Avid, Premiere, etc.

My suggestions is Adobe Premiere.

any nle that can natively edit mxf files are easiest...such as avid and premiere. Final Cut works fine too but you have to log and transfer the footage to convert it to a quicktime format unless you use MXF 4 Mac.

Edius 5 ingests mxf files just fine. Been using it with my HPX170 since last August. Don't know what type computer you are using. Very true, but taking into account the Original Poster using Pinnacle, I'm assuming Price is an issue, thus Premiere is about 1/3 of the cost.

Yeah I really wouldn't say Avid is a simple program either.
Go with Premier

I used to use Pinnacle Studio (was a beta tester), but it cannot handle the HD codecs from the HVX. I think you will find the transition to Premiere Pro the easiest.
