C100: Ninja Star and Zacuto EVF

Has anyone ever used a Zacuto EVF and Ninja Star in conjunction?

Ideally I want the Ninja to record the output from the Zavuto. The issue is that the image comes out with a deep red cast and also the auto-rec doesn't work.

The Zacuto EVF already has a terrible amount of HDMI lag by itself and putting the Ninja in-front of it makes it even worse.

I'm shooting some stuff on a Ronin as well and would really like to minimise the HDMI lag by recording from the Zacuto HDMI out.

I've also just tried hooking up the Zacuto HDMI out to my TV and I get no signal?

Does anyone else record from their Zacuto EVF output?
 
I use the Ninja Blade and the Zacuto EVF Pro with the C100 MKI and C300 MKI. HDMI out from camera into Blade, HDMI from Blade to Zacuto EVF Pro, works great, no complaints other than I have no rec indicator in the EVF, so you have to hit record and check the Blade screen that the camera is recording. Does the Ninja Star behave differently than the Blade?

I've never tried recording the EVF output, no reason for me to.
