C100: Ninja Blade w/ axis mini for C100 MKII

Hi there

I'm thinking a kit from Zacuto to be able to shoot documentaries all day on my shoulder : a VCT baseplate, and an axis mini

is any of you using axis mini with ninja blade ?

As they only show their axis mini with EVF like zacutos, I wonder if the blade, being wider, will fit.

Hi coutar,

To attach a 1/4 20 mounted EVF or monitor you'd use the Quad Rail: http://store.zacuto.com/quad-rail/ attachment for the axis Mini. This attachment gives you a 3" Quad rail to work with. The Ninja Blade comes in at 5.4" across according to the specs on Atomos's site. As long as the 1/4 20 mounting is less than 3" from the edge of the Ninja, you should be good to go. I don't have one in house, otherwise I'd test it for you. You can check with our dealer in France, Broadcastor and see if Louis has one in stock you can see.
 
Thanks for the info. The space between the ¼ and the edge of the blade is 2 ½ inch so I guess I would work then !
