C100: Ninja Blade Not Recording Audio from C100

Probably a misleading headline -- the reality being more that it's probably something I'm doing wrong, not the fault of the Blade.

I'm relatively new to the Blade and love it, but I recently came back from a shoot and discovered the files didn't have audio riding along. It wasn't a big deal because I had my C100 files, but it did add an extra step to get a scratch track. Is it possible that I don't have my HDMI out set up properly? I suspect it's something incredibly simple (and stupid) that I'm not doing.

Can anybody point me to a solution?

When tapping the audiometers you can select which channels to record and which to monitor.
R button to record turns red, you can record all channels at the same time
for monitoring you have to choose between ch1/2 or ch3/4
you have 4 channels ch1/2 fed by the hdmi in, and ch 3/4 fed by the 3.5mm analog audio in port

In the future, using the headphone output of the Blade will help verify audio recording, although you have to be careful with that also to be certain you are monitoring the correct channel in the Blade.

I have to admit, I use a Ninja 2 often without issue, however I borrowed a Shogun recently and ended up in the same position as you - no audio, but had camera SD card backup. Lesson learned!

Thanks

Jeff
