C100: Ninja 2 Help and C100 MkII

I sometimes use my Ninja 2 for shoots, but I and fellow shooter friends find the monitor super blown out. I have searched though the settings and the brightness meter is not the problem. The Prores Files look fine, but the idea that thing can be remotely used as a reference monitor seems like a long shot. Anyone else have a similar problem

Strange. Don't know what to tell you there. I'm using a Ninja 1, but it's one of the best field monitors I've ever owned straight outta the box. Maybe it's your copy?

The Ninja 1 and Ninja 2 are known to have somewhat inaccurate monitoring displays. Your experiences are normal. The newer and more expensive (but only $499 now) Ninja BLADE has the 5" 720p screen known for it's accuracy. Your Ninja 2 records the same ProRes as the Blade, but the monitor isn't up to the newer spec.

The difference between ninjablade and ninja2 are HUGE!.
The resolution and color of the ninja 2 are terrible, not usable as a confidence monitor at all .
The Ninja blade with 720p screen and the ability to color calibrate is wonderfull

I have to agree...the Ninja 2 as a monitor is pretty much a joke. Its a great little recorder...but it has one of the worst screens I have seen. Its just to be used to navigate through the menus...and or monitor audio levels. For video...is silly bad.

Apologies, I mis-read and thought you were talking about the Blade. Yeah, the Ninja-2 is no good for field monitoring. The Blade is far superior.
