Nikon User Thread

Photo series from a recent shoot. We were trying to achieve a sort of flashback feeling, with the period clothing and props, and the brick representing a lot of the imagery of a period NYC or other big city. Sort of a workers on the A-Frame feeling with a new age twist.

Andrew, definately digging the third one the best. If you could make that look like dusk or give it some extra shadowing and a night"ish" type look, I think that would really improve the shot.

Not because there is anything wrong with it, but to me it looks like a shot that would be taken in a night time alleyway.

Love the composition.

Here's a few random shots from Cancun last week. The tequila was flowing HEAVILY, so I didn't get near as many shots as I wanted... but... here's a few:

From my balcony.

I think this was about a 30 second exposure. It was late, and I was hammered ;) I really wish I had a tripod so I could have gotten this vertical, but alas, I didn't, so I set the camera on the balcony rail.

Ryan, I love the shot of your feet, my definite favorite. And the green glow of the water in the other shot is really awesome.

more coming.....

I love that lens. Well worth the price, even though it's 9 years old.

RAVL, the 12-24 is a DX lens, so it will not worth with the D700. Well, it will work but it will show black in the corners.....and that's no good. You are right about it "looking" like the 12-24, as 12mm on DX has about the same FOV as a 18mm on a FX.....so that's pretty close.

Hi there. I haven't really posted here at Dvxuser much in the past but have been reading for years. I recently picked up my first DSLR, a Nikon D60 with a Sigma 18 - 50 2.8. I have quite a bit of experience shooting film but I don't have a strong enough handle on Photoshop. Here's a shot I took the other night. Any suggestions as how I should handle this better in Photoshop?
