Matt you sure know how to get your boy Aiden to open those big blue eyes. My oldest son James (he's 23) has blue eyes like this, bright blue. You keep on taking them pictures of him and posting them up, he's a cutie.

Thank you. He's a really fun kid, and quite the handful. It's gotten to the point where when he sees a camera pointed at him, he really hams it up.

My son is going to hate me when he gets older . . . .

Ha! Yeah you need to make a book of all these for him. Will be fun to show to his girlfriend in the future. At least they are cute pictures though. Those eyes are just incredible! Very expressive little guy!

That's a very good idea. A VERY good idea. I have over 3 gigs of photos (almost none in RAW) and putting them all together would be very cool. Especially the video's I have taken of him. Thanks for bringing that up, I don't think I would have come up with that, but that is one hell of a good idea. I'll pass that on to the boss (wife) and we will get things started. Thanks a ton for that suggestion.

You should see him pull over chairs and do feats of strength no kid that age should do. He was born 4 weeks premature, so technically he is 8 months old and weighs in as about 19 pounds, he can shake his crib to the point of breaking it, pulls dining room chairs over like they weigh nothing, and causes complete havoc with the cats.

Strong little bugger. I was feeding him a bottle yesterday, and he grabbed my nose and yanked, and he managed to get his fingers inside my nose. I bled for over an hour.

He's going to play piano, cello, and be one hell of a linebacker.

Matt,

Great expression, but the softening you are adding to the photo kind of takes away from it for me. Is that posterization in PS or something?

It's much more than Posterizing. It is an Action I found a long time ago to make photo's appear to have been drawn. Well, I changed some of the stops and parameters, and like a moron, didn't save the backup.

Somethimes it works well:

And sometimes it doenst. Here it the photo for you without the action on it, and you are right, in this pic, it really doesnt work.

Matt,
Your uncorrected photos are amazing. I would like to see what you end up doing with the light bulb and such. DONT TOUCH THE DOORWAY though. Its amazing. You should submit that to DPphotography.com for there exclusive open comp this week. It is doors! LOL!

I was going to add some volumetrics coming through the window and lighting up some dust and particulits, as well as some other minor tweaks, i thought that would be fun.

I think it's just a wee bit dark and needs a little CC nudging.

But I can't take anything without messing with it. I leave this one be, have some fun with another copy, and maybe post it.

Yeah I wish I could take credit but I stole it from my wife. She's always making scrapbooks of nieces and nephews for our family. I think the coolest thing she's done is this scrapbook of current pictures of my entire extended family for my grandmother who's memory is quite affected by alzheimer's. If you're telling her about something someone did though you can just show her a picture of that person really quick as it just lives on the table next to her favorite chair. I was kinda surprised, its really helped her out alot.
