Nikon to EOS mount adapters?

I bought a couple of chinese cheapie adapters on ebay, they work ok with a light lens but there's a bit of play in them that causes havoc when I mount a heavy anamorphic adapter. Does anybody have a nikon adapter that fits the mount on the MKII really snugly?

Cameraquest. Just bite the bullet ... spend the money ... and be done with it. They work. I am using a F to EOS adapter with my Zeiss ZF 28/2.0 Distagon and a C/Y to EOS adapter with my Contax Zeiss 35-70/3.4 Vario-Sonnar. Super snug fit.

Fotodiox is better than the chinese adapters, probably not as good as the Cameraquest... but only 27 USD..

adapter adaptation :-)

adapter adaptation :-)

Hi, when I first bought an adapter for nikons everything was loose.:(.. so I took a very fine screwdriver and widened the parts of the adapter that hold the nikon glass. On my noname adapter there is a small slit in the holding brackets, I pried them open a tiny bit and voila everything sits tight...:)

just my two eurocents..
Matthias:)

the fotodiox looks identical to the chinese cheapie and costs about the same so I suspect it is the same.

Is there absolutely no rotational play at all with a heavy lens attached? even a millimeter is too much for the anamorphic adapter. It has to be a rock solid fit to both the lens and the MKII.

I found this one on ebay which appears to be a different design to the cheapies I bought-

On my camera ... it fits as "... snug as a bug in a rug ..." No rotational play. However, like most things in life, " ... your mileage may vary ..." Truthfully, at the end of the day, when you use lenses that were not designed for the camera in question, " ... you pays your money ... and you takes your chances ..." It is just from what I have read, people have reported the fewest problems with the Cameraquest adapter (especially with Contax/Zeiss lenses). Good luck.

I bought a few cheap ebay and net ones and they all worked but had some issue with fit etc. I finally "bit the bullet" and bought a Novoflex after trying one out. Super snug fit just like a native canon lens. Very pricey but well worth after messing around with the cheap ones and being totally unhappy with them.
