Nikon lenses and ring direction?

I'm thinking about investing in a reasonably future proof collection of lenses. Going with Nikon mount lenses is appealing due to the fact that they can be adapted to almost any camera body that might come down the road later. However, I understand that the direction one turns the focus rings (and aperture, for that matter) on the vast majority of Nikon lenses is reversed from that of most other lenses such as the ENG style that I am used to.

I would like to keep things consistent. So, are there any lenses in Nikon mount that focus the "normal" way? Just curious about this.

Yes, the focus rings of all Sigma lenses turn in the Canon direction, even the ones made for Nikon F-mount. All Nikkor lenses turn in the standard Nikon direction.

What some people do is get focus rings put on the lens (especially Nikon mounted ZF.2 Zeiss) with a reversible follow focus so that you can choose the preferred focus throw. Check out www.Ducloslenses.com/
