GH3 Nikon G or Canon EF Speedbooster for Sigma 18-35mm 1.8?

I wanna' purchase the 18-35mm 1.8 for lower light. I know that the 12-35mm and 35-100mm maybe good for adequate light, but may not be good for dark venues. Would the Nikon G be better ( lower cost ) versus the Canon Ef? Thank you.

The canon version is better, it has a active mount so you can control iris electronically. The nikon one is with a manual ring.

It depends...
If you have a lot of nikon glass then you get the nikon adapter.

Nikon can be adapted to all sorts of cameras because of the flange distance, so a lot of people use nikon glass.

Canon ef lenses cannot be adapted to nikon cameras. Nikon glass can be adapted to canon cameras.

Yea, id go with what glass you have or have easy/cheap access to.
Iris isnt so important, i mean you need something to help in low light so your probably gonna be wide open most of the time. Anyhow, its the difference of turning a ring on the barrel or turning the dial.
The active mount is interesting if it controlled focusing... someone with the Canon speed booster will have to chime in on that though, as I have the Nikon version.

I know the Canon for Sony E mount can control focus which gives you back the ability for AF, it also provides power for stabilized lenses. Not sure if the m43 version gives all these features, but I bet it says so on the Metabones product page.

There is no iris ring on the Canon glass. And if you don't get an active speedbooster, you have to use a Canon camera to change f-stop.

The Canon EF S Version to MFT is active, correct? Also, does the Canon EF Adapter have autofocus? I have Canon lenses, that's why I asked.

A part from the new Ultra version, you have also a new XL version designed especially for GH4 camera. It has a wider view (x0.64 insted x0.71) and also gives you more light (1.3 stops more).
Also Metabones just released a new firmware a few weeks ago where all the metabones adapters now offer auto focus ability, and for what I have been reading, seems to be working preatty good. If you also do photos with your camera this is a really important feature. If you do not have any Nikon or Canon glass I would go with Canon mount because of the autofocus ability and the IS support. Also it is the only that can mantain the same real apperture in different shots. Also if you move to Sony in the future (A7s, A7RII...) they have an active Canon-Sony E adapter. The same with Blackmagic cameras.
