Nikon DSLR + Ikan,Marshall,SmallHD or cheap Loupe?

I had a Lillaput 7" and while they are good for the price the resolution is not as good as the camera LCD.
I sent it back and got a CaVision 5.6. It is much better and also has focus peaking.
I mount it on my TriPod leg and use it for Video

Hmmm, The Lilliput I had linked to has a 7" 1280x800 800:1 contrast Ratio IPS panel, Focus Peaking, False Color, Zebras, Histogram.

This has most likely been fixed: "This video is not misleading, I am showing the unit I received. Plus I can only verify that the new one I received was fixed, I cannot independently verify if others were fixed."

I've got the little Marshall which I really like. But unless I'm on a crane, 90+% of the time I use a loupe with my D7000 and Canon DSLRs. It's the first accessory I'd get for a DSLR. Monitors are a pain, they suck in harsh sun, one more battery to worry about, the lag in starting a shot, etc. The loupe is just hit the button and shoot.

The SWIVI VF (not the HDMI screen, the plastic loupe) is a killer buy for the $$, too.

It's waveforms that keep me thinking about getting a monitor. Right now I have to take a picture and apply a color balance filter to see a histogram on my D5200.

You will find that the "Native" resolution of the Lilliput is far less than the Camax (not CaVision).
I had both at the same time and the Camax H056 is not only far better,
but the actual image size is nearly the same because there is less margin around the image.
In this case smaller is better.

I use Nikon D7000 bodies at work, and use my Marshall LCD51 extensively on them. It's an excellent combination, and does everything I need it to in an interview setting (focus peaking, false color exposure indicators, 1:1 pixel peeping). For exterior use, a loupe is a much better investment, as you'll be fighting with bright sunlight, even using the included sunshade on the Marshall.
