Nikon D600 ungraded test video 1080p

Very nice. Keeping it dead-simple settings-wise, along with all the other details, makes it very informative. Thanks!

I was using adobe Premiere CS5 to edit. It works flawlessly with it.
I somehow missed that sentence. Thanks. I ended up using CS 6.0 Media Encoder, or whatever it's called exactly, to convert the files into ProRes.

I'm eager to try a test comparing dx to fx video clips. If the dx is good, it will be a nice bonus to get two focal lengths from each lens.

How severe is that moire issue on the brick building at 0:19, cant really tell with youtube size resolution. Is the moire any worst than the 5D MKII or less or about the same ?

thanks

Moire is pretty bad in some spots.. I am working with Mosaic Engineering to get a filter out for this ASAP. But Moire on most cameras is an issue these days.. I would say it is as bad as the D800. But still incredible for the money. Full frame 4:2:2 uncompressed HDMI video... I will post tests of that next week...

I am interest in the D600 specially for having the uncompressed HDMI out, however I have seen several posts on the web having problems with the HDMI as they are getting a cropped image. Are you having those same problems?

Yes.. I am going to return the D600 the uncompressed hdmi has a black box around the footage. Also it has no manual controls when trying to do uncompressed video as well.. Wait until they fix it. Or buy a D800.. U will just wait for my BMC camera to come and use that for video..

And there are still rather nasty moire/aliasing issues. Unfortunately, the D600 could have been a home run for videography for Nikon but they mysteriously made a few fatal missteps with the hardware.
