nikon adapter quality - are some better than others?

I just bought a pair of these and they are great:

Seem to the same design as the fotodiox pro version for a fraction of the price. These are definitely better than the cheapest adapters on ebay. Haven't noticed any play with any of my manual lenses.

Has anyone used one with an aperture 'opener' (for lack of a better term).
I'd like to be able to use lenses other than my old 50mm.
