GH2 Nikon 35mm f/1.8G DX Lens Test

Quick test of the nikon 35mm 1.8G DX lens. Nothing too fancy here just some random shots. I just got this lens and I am very happy with the IQ so far. It is sharp and contrasty wide open. I did notice a little CA at 1.8 but nothing to cry about.

This guy dose not breathe at all.

This is a nice lens but....

This lens feels disposable in my hands. This is the first plastic lens that I have owned so maybe its something I need to get used to.

This was shot with a GH2 in cinema mode. No grading but was shot with the intention of grading latter.

Wow, that looks close to spectacular. Now I've just got to decide whether I need a 35mm or 85mm next.

The bokeh looks nice and round, too.

If your are looking for creamy bokeh this is a winner.

There are a few out there. Look for a nikon G adapter, there are ton from china and some nice ones made by voigtlander. I have been using the cheap ones.

You can't handhold the camera with that lens without tons of micro shakes. Without OIS working footage from lenses other than the Panasonics made exclusively for their cameras need to be on a very very steady rig or tripod.

I just got a GH2 as well & I'm thinking about buying that same Nikon 35mm lens; can you please tell me what brand of converter/adaptor was used to fit the Nikon lens on the Panny?
