Nikkor Lenses on a T2i

FYI - just wanted to post a followup:

I ordered 2 Kawa Nikon/EOS adapters. They're an excellent, tight fit on my 2 Nikkors, relatively easy on/off, though I will probably end up leaving them on the lenses so they don't break or grow loose over time. (Thanks PerroneFord for the advice on these adapters).

I also picked up a Canon 18-55mm IS kit lens. I wanted a multipurpose AF lens to use for stills. Also figured it would cover the wide end pretty nicely for video, and the price was right, and the lens gets very solid reviews. So there you go.

Now just waiting on my 60d.

Good deal man! Yea, these cheap Kawa adapters are surprisingly good. I just buy one for each lens and leave it on. I ordered some Canon EOS lens backs from KEH. They had them 10 for $20.

I recently acquired the same two lenses as metrolens (almost)
can you only buy these KAWA adapters on ebay? I can't seem to find them anywhere - and that includes ebay.

in addition i have a vivitar 70-150mm close focusing 1:3.8.

do you have any recommendations of where i can find these adapters and how much they may run me?

Try here: http://myworld.ebay.com/kawaphoto/

For the Nikon lens to EOS adapter, here specifically: http://cgi.ebay.com/Nikon-Lens-Cano...era_Lenses&hash=item43a5b3b1f4#ht_4282wt_1195

I have the cheap fotodiox and it works just fine too. Think I might get the Kawa for my 70-200 Tokina, then I'll have both! It's definitely a pain to have to change the adapter from lens to lens. Talk about a good way to damage a lens when you're trying to work quick.

Ya don't forget the EOS rear lens cover! Those @#$*ers are hard to find.

2. Nikkor 50mm f1.4

By far my best purshase on vintage. Early model, perfect glass & the image is f*cking amazing. I simuntainiously purschaded Canon EF 50/1,4 USM and what a bloody joke to pay triple to money for a plastic crap lens with ZERO estetic beauty to it in comparison. Nope, not exaggerating.

I agree about the build quality of the Canon. However, its IQ is excellent and rivals even the f/1.2 in certain aspects. The reason to own it, if you already have the Nikkor, is for using AF while taking stills.
