Nice Video

Check out this video I found on Vimeo. I thought it looked very cinematic. Audio at one point sounded like it was distorting (could have been my headphones) but overall I thought it looked great.

IMO, it looked worse in the pool. Warmer, maybe, but also harsher. I'm talking more about lighting ratios and diffusion (or lack thereof).

The lighting of the scene looks "stagey" to me. "Theatrical." The subjects look like they're being lit artificially. So it's a bit distracting for me.

OK, now where are the female members of DVXuser? I'm a guy just like all of you, but perhaps this place is too much of a sausage-fest. :)

I think you might be expecting too much. There's no "sausage fest" going on here. I really liked how this looked for footage that is not graded as yet. My response and posting here has nothing to do with what happened at the end of the clip. I watched this all the way through not expecting the ending.

But anyways...I liked the lighting....as harsh as it sometimes seems. What this reminds me of is another lighting example I seen some time last year online with a 35mm film clip (some movie that starred Jason Statham). It was a before and after clip with him and another woman in the scene. I was amazed at how much lighting they did on each of them. The lighting actually looked .......harsh....but not blown out. When it came time for grading the image had a lot more character afterwords. When looking at the before and after it all made sense to me. That's how I look at these clips. They...as the owner suggests...are not graded.

Everything else looked spot on to me...as far as camera placement...the back and forth between the two...the acting...in and out of the pool. It's like footage from an actual film (IMO). For me there were a lot of familiarities with other movies...from how the one actress looks like a known actress...to that steamy scene in the pool which reminded me of Denise Richard and Neve Campbell (I forget the movie). But it all played out well to me.

The bottom line....I forgot this was about the 7D. What I was going to say on that site is that I'm glad that someone is finally showing some dramatic work on this camera as opposed to flowers, trees and what not. I can only take so much of "test footage." I'm looking forward to seeing more.

OH....now I see why you thought that. I'm looking at the embedded photo here at the top of this thread... It didn't show that picture earlier...it just had the color bars that are used to adjust your monitor. That's funny....how did that happen???

that looks very good, funny thing is that gh-1 best footage ive seen had lesbians in it too.
I just dont like how it compresses background sounds when girls are talking ,volume goes up and drops down.
