We manage to edit with premiere just easily and fast with the core i3 with chipset 87. So I think will be ok. Newer gen is more faster. Core i5 and 7 have a better integrated graphics card with up to 48 units of execution if im not wrong, hd5000 and hd6000, but hd4400 and hd4600 are great. To be more clear, you can compare NEXT computer performance with the best intel integrated gpu labtops, existing and also for the upcoming 12 months. Just get a todays intel powered labtop with high end intel integrated gpu with same amount of ram and a faster ssd and you'll get same or better result, as this is a industrial based device, meaning better than todays some popular models.
I recommend models with i3 or i5, not the celeron if you want faster editing, transcoding, color grading and so on

I doubt Resolve 11 will work it out for 4k grading with integrated GPU...

Does it trigger A7S or GH4 like Shogun?

Not at this time.
Shogun and NEXT are different products, one is a 4K30P422 great recorder, well done for some productions, and the other is a 4K60P recorder till 4:4:4 and a computer.
Shogun is great for A7S, GH4, etc .. NEXT is well suited for the aforementioned cameras as well as higher cameras from Sony, Panasonic, etc ..

what for 4K60p serves when we only have 4K30p through HDMI?

Who said hdmi for 4K60P?
4K60P is via dual sdi input. And even might not exist any 4K60p signal, why not ? If a user dont need 4K60p then just purchase the basic NEXT model, as in the future can upgrade by simply purchasing an upgrade
The thing with Next is, that is a powerfull device made for true cinema, let me note what other user state/mentioned in other forum about next "a horsepower in a single editing/grading portable workstation for the weight and size of a tablet is a milestone..."
Of course, you can go with shogun, odyssey or pix-e5, great recorders, Next is different

I dont understand you.
Next comes from basic hdmi up to 4k30p 10b 422, then 4k30p 10b supp. 444 till 4k60p 10b, supporting 444 on high end model. On the website of Next go to Buy then you'll find the models and the max capabilities as I told you

interesting offer indeed

such light portable computer with editing and grading capabilities at 4K is sweet... and when will you provide proof enough of full working with Resolve 11 for 4K?

I am buying a laptop and could think of it as replacement for anything much bigger

Hi, shooter, soon I will show you Resolve in NEXT, just give me some days, after NAB.
I want to say that probably will be an option (priced but an option), to have the palm size device with 32GB of ram although I cannot confirm at this time.
