C100: Neweer 3.5 Clip On Mic not working?

Hi guys how are you?

I'm wondering why this mic is not working when connecting it to the MIC input on my C100. I tried every possible setting, audio handle on and off.

When I connect the mic to my little Sony Audio Recorder it works perfectly fine.

Ideas? Thanks!
 
The camera is most likely not providing plug-and-play power to the mic. That's the only reason I could think of.
 
First-off, C100 does not provide phantom power that jack. Second, is that a monaural mic? The 3.5 plug required is a TRS type with pin-outs LT, RT, GND.
 
Phantom power usually applies to XLR mics. 48V would probably destroy the mic. Plug-in power is different.
 
Apparently according to some Amazon.com reviews this mic needs power, therefore that's why its not working.
