newbie help, please

HI,
I would like to use a PC as a monitor, and also record to the PC hard drive.
Is this do-able, and if so, some simple instructions, please.
I haven't been able to find this is Barry's book.

The editing program Edius Broadcast 4 does this well and handles the whole p2 workflow like a charm.

EDIT: Also look into Adobe onLocation (previously DVrack HD 2)

Not out of the box.

You would need OnLocation, available as part of a bundle, from Adobe.

Apparently though, On Location part of CS3 is the DV only version, not the HD one... so it sucks more...

Are you certain of this?

The reason I ask is that that means there is no DVCProHD version currently available.
