New XH A1 Problem, cant record. Help?!

K, so I just got a new XH A1 a week ago, I just shot some HD test footage today (which I will post later). I got back home and captured it all, and when I turned the camera back on to record again the lcd is blank. I tried it on Auto, same thing. I shut the lcd and nothing shows up in the mini viewfinder as well while in record mode.

However, when I turn the dial to vcr playback it works just fine. Anyone ever heard of this or have this happen?

Is your switch next to the record button on lock instead of stand-by?

No, its on stand-by. The lights on the wheel light up and everything, the lcd is just blank.

I found a few other posts of others who have had the same problem. The fix: Send it to Canon. This really sucks, never had a problem with the DVX. I'm just glad this didn't happen during a paid event.

How about the small slide switch on the right side of the handle?

Nope, trust me I have tried everything. I found a few other posts online where this has transpired before, all had to send it back to Canon. I really hope they fix this problem...I only had the camera for a week!!
