AC90: New Video from Jan Crittenden Livingston introducing the AG-AC90

She mentions uncompressed audio when switched to 2ch mode... does anyone know more about this? Mine records 256kbps dolby only.

It looks like a great camera but did they shoot on a DVX-100 original with an old tape? The quality of the video is awful.

I don't know why they only uploaded such a low resolution video. Obviously this video is just to explain the features that the camcorder has.

I would like more info on this as well. Jan made it sound like 5.1 is recorded in compressed Dolby Digital but 2 channel is recorded uncompressed.

It's not. All the audio in an AC90 is recorded compressed, it doesn't have PCM uncompressed. If you're using PH or PS mode it gets a very high bandwidth, 384kbps, vs. the 256kbps of the other recording modes, but it's still been compressed. The AC160 and AF100 have uncompressed 2-channel audio, but the AC90 and AC130 don't.
