hey folks-

im shooting my first project with the p2 and I had a question about the workflow... can I simply download the p2 cards through a firewire-P2 card reader and save to an external hard drive? do I need the p2 store or a P2 slot on my laptop?

I'm not aware of any firewire p2 reader.

You can download the p2 card contents using the camcorder in the Firewire connect mode.
 
I sincerely suggest that you whip out the manual and read about transferring. It explains it in the manual that you can infact transfer from HVX/P2 to Externall HDD.


Then buy Barry's Book. MAJOR NEED for EVERYONE.

Then if you cant find your answer in those, DO A SEARCH on this forum, and if you cant find it, Most likely you will, but in that case and you dont find anything. Than create a new thread.
