I know this is a Pan. forum but her goes. My background event videographer that films concerts and documentaries, also getting into tv spots and weddings. I've been looking at the two cameras. The big thing to mention is that i'm a FCP user. I've also did the pros and cons deal with the issues of chip size. manual features, jvc lack of xlr inputs and the pan. transcoding for FCP. Which way would you guys go on this one. I shoot in low light too. garrett

The transcoding thing is a very temporary issue. Clip Rewrapper is either out now, or due very soon, which will allow native editing of the HMC150 footage in FCP.

Are the hm100's dual SDHC slots important to you?

I like the waveform monitor, 3x ND filters, and mechanical zoom ring for starters. I have the sense the HMC150 has a lot more to offer in terms of features, but look at what your profession is and whether a larger form factor makes sense for you, whether you'll benefit from the HMC150's features, etc.

The HMC150 is also a few hundred dollars cheaper (which suprises me, perhaps the HM100 is so expensive only because it's so new)
