New to Finalcut - a few P2 questions

I now have final cut studio 2...and I'm a complete newbie.

Can this handle 720pN footage? Is there a compromise shooting this format instead of 720p?


Are there any potential issues mixing footage shot 720p on a FS-100 and 720p/720pN shot on a P2 card?

No compromise. Just create a DVCPROHD 720 24p timeline/sequence. Shoot pn on the Firestore and the cards for consistency.

Final Cut works great with 720pN. If you want to mix it with 720p60 footage from a firestore, the easiest way to do it is to work in 720p60 timeline. OR you could used the DVCPROHD frame converter tool which can be downloaded from Panasonic's website and comes with FCP6 (near the bottom of the tools menu).
