New Threads

Not only do I agree with you completely, but I was also thinking about that kids thread when I first responded to THIS one. He's fantastic. I'm not a cynic, but he almost seems too good for his age. He says hes got a Photoshop DVD for sale...sign me up!.

I bought the DVD plus I think that people like that shouldn't be allowed to live. Way too talented for his age. His stuff is almost surreal, but some of the best photography I have EVER seen.

I feel like I'm driving by a car wreck trying not to look. I almost want to see it now. Oh wait, I said to ignore posts like that.

As a relatively new member myself I think I would vote for erring on the side of permissive supervision rather than strict rules. If the battle against e-mail spam has taught us anything, it is that rules are easily hacked (and published rules even more so). If I can predict the results I can make a machine that gets me there. People are much harder to "hack" in this way, and thus much more effective at stopping people from "gaming" the system.

Furthermore, as a junior member I feel a certain amount of responsibility to answer redundant questions when I find them. Partly because I know what it's like to put something out there and not get any feedback, but mostly because I hope that it'll free up the experienced folks to respond more of the interesting posts :)

Thanks to the mods for doing such a great job and thanks to everyone here for creating and sustaining such a useful community!

Cheers,
Alden

we arnt gonna lock things down. They win if we do that. I remember that ever damn time I board a plane now after 9/11. They kinda won in a way cause it still is affecting us 5 years later.

So we will just deal with it as good as we can, If it becomes to big of a problem thats what lawyers are for. Thank god though for our incredible mods here though that do such an incredible job of keeping on top of things.
