Dear friends.

While the hype around the GH1 is sky rocketing I still enjoy working with my D90!

Here is my latest testimonial video made for a leading camera bags manufacturer.

Ami Elsius is a Swedish freelance photographer and travel writer. She mainly photographs fashion, advertising, portraiture, travel and weddings as well.
Fine art photography is however what she loves most spending lots of time shooting professional dancers for private projects.

Technical details are in vimeo.

Many thanks!

Two things--

First vimeo is asking for a password.

Second--a lot of the initial hype is fading on the GH-1 forums--problems with compression/pulldown/framerates are becoming evident as people use the camera.

It will still be Nikon (or Canon) that will come to our rescue in the next year or so with improved full 35mm imagers, using the full benefit of the excellent SLR lenses out there now. The 4/3rds market is going to appeal to those amateurs who want to move up from point and shoots, but aren't ready for a full dSLR. It will remain a niche market poorly served by lenses compared to the SLR market of professional photographers and economies of scale in lens manufacturing.

Some nice shots - well done.

Slowly but surely, some guys are coming back down to earth. My next new camera gonna be a Nikon. My gut says it, this little man in my ear says it... so, it can´t be wrong. Go ahead Nikon, don´t be a killjoy.

Well done!

Nice to see someone who uses there equipment with intent and creativity...... Seems that most forum people are into shooting cats and flowers.

If you know what you are doing the Nikon D90 is awesome. My next camera will be a Nikon.

PaPa, Capice, frisco, Zim, Vinyl- Thank all for your feedback!.
PaPa, Camera sharpness was set on 3 out of 9 clicks.

I love the wide angles on the D90. I'm planning on testing out the AF-S DX 12-24mm f4 on a project with the D90 next month. Anyone use this lens?

Excellent work! It's really inspiring seeing videos shot so well with the D90 - makes me want to go out and shoot something myself!

manglerBMX- Honestly speaking, doing those testimonials is a lot of fun! Glad you like them. (all but one were shot with the D90).

elnitter-Thank you very much for your kind words!.

Chris f- I can recommend the Tokina 11-16, it helps a lot "ironing" some of the D90 problems movement wise...

Hi amun,
Web Page is planed for later this year....
I will send you a PM a bit later.

All the best.

that was awesome, man the shooting was excellant, very difficult to detect rolling shutter :) was the tele work always on sticks ? Exposure was nice :) did you have multiple d90's ?

Thank you very much PhantomVideo!

Tele work was done with sticks (manfroto 756XB and 700RC2 head, helping me to travel light) + the "dvrig" from DVTEC (dvtec.tv/) to stabilize the camera and help with "floating" and even walking shots. (When you go for their wed site look at the pictures on the second row. The picture in the middle is representing the most my camera stabilizing work-flow).

One D90 all the way. Lucky enough not having the "over heating" problem in any of my shooting days (and they are all long)... :)
