Here's some new stuff I shot yesterday. I wanted to show the whole "movie" but if you read the description you'll see why. I am having trouble exporting though with quicktime conversion. These line's are still showing up and I'm exporting in hd. Using FCE. PLEASE give me some advice. I hate when ppl view your stuff and don't comment. As long as the criticism is productive, I love it!

The lines are interlacing. Because you are using Final Cut Express, there's no way to work with the DVX's 24pA mode in a 23.976 timeline. You're stuck with shooting 24p and editing at 29.97, which means that you'll have interlaced frames in there. You won't see then lines on a regular TV or video monitor, but will certainly see them on a progressive monitor (computer, Internet video).

Deinterlacing will get rid of the lines, but will hurt your resolution... especially if you then try to "up-rez" to HD.

Cool i liked it i dont have and criticism because im not a film maker but it was cool.

C2V do other FC versions allow 24pA editing in a 24P timeline? or is it just FCE thats does not have a 24p timeline or is it al FC software?

It's just a limitation of Final Cut Express, since that's the "LE" version of FCP. Several features are missing in FCE that exist in Final Cut Pro, including (but not limited to):

- Pulldown removal
- Editing in any time base other than 29.97
- Ability to work with most HD codecs (FCE offers a couple)
- Offline clip logging and batch capture
- EDL export
- OMF export
- Custom starting time code for sequence time lines (all sequences start at 00:00:00;00)

Thanks so much. I mean I exported it before and the lines weren't there so I'm guessing when I digitized this time, I forgot to change some settings or something. I did shoot in 24p. But next time I will check the timeline settings. Thanks so much for letting me know!!
