Will it communicate with the camera?

Hi Alex,
Will the 2.1mm - NF cable to connect to the NF also connect to the battery S-8D62 DV? Can i use it for the AF100?
Greets, Arno

Arno, if I understand your question correctly, yes, the cable will connect to the S-8D62 battery also as it has the same 2.1mm jack as the new S-8BG6 battery. But the S-8D62 is not compatible with the AF100 camera; it is the HVX200 style battery.

Is this battery able to power the camera and a monitor like the TV Logic?

I do not think so. The battery will comfortably deliver up to ~20W, may be just a little more without being over loaded. The AF100 needs ~12.5W. I assume the monitor needs 12-15W, which makes it ~25W total load. You can certainly try, but do not expect it to run for much longer than 1 hour or so.

Is NanoFlash OK?

Interesting - so the NanoFlash is approx 7.5W right?
So an AF101 and a Nano would be 20W and you're saying that's OK.

If it can power a NanoFlash as well as the AF101 that would be a really neat and compact solution.

I assume that the DC plug clears the battery compartment of the AF101 OK?

Dave

Dave, we will know for sure once we have the first battery in our hands. We expect the first shipment to arrive here in US this week. I will update as soon as have more information.
Cheers

Barry, obviously the factory did not ship them as planned. But I just got an update - they shipped from the factory last Friday 2/25 by air, so the shipment should reach the SWIT office in CA any day now. As soon as we receive them here on the East Coast, will start shipping to the customers.

Update: the batteries are finally here! Abel (Ca) already has them, Abel (NY) will receive them Friday.

I bought one in New Zealand yesterday. Great price . (NZD $150) Love the battery state indicators on the back of it.
