The end of 35mm adapers and hv20s....

Thanks for keeping the vimeo D90 page up, Mad. I like what ya did to the footage, as well. Proof that it can work out with a little care and ocnsideration.

Yeaaah Car3o. Even with the garbage JPEG compression or whatever is goin' on it's lookin goo~od. The more I figure this thing out and learn how to control it the happier I am with the purchase.

My only "grr" right now is not bein' able to use my Zeiss C/Y lenses. =( And no ZFs to speak of.

Edit: Another clean one -- http://vimeo.com/1685680?pg=transcoded_embed&sec=1685680

For some reason, there's a lot of contrast going on that I don't see in the LCD. Mad, you want to do some adjustments to that clip and repost it?

No intervelometer? I will be extremely disappointed if that was mis-information- that was one of the main reasons (besides video) that I wanted the D90.

i bet, now that cmos is such a big deal in almost all hd camera's...there'll be a plugin for the rolling shutter...it's only a matter of time and demand if manufacturers don't fix it..software companies will.

Someone want to tell me where it is in the menus? I'm sure that it does, just dunno anything about it yet.

think i found it... page 182 Continuous Low Mode Shooting Speed. you can do 1, 2, 3 or 4 fps. the default is 3fps. haven't tested it out yet. hopefully there's no imposed limit other than battery life.

Wow, quite alot of posts, and it dosen't really die down.

Your right!

This thread represents the future of things to come. This is just the beginning. Version 1. Wait tell all the companies get feed back and improve to V.2, 3 and on an on. And Version 1 ( D90 ) is backed by a 12 mega pixel dense CMOS sesnor that has removable optics of the highest quality that can be used and we are only at the version one. And it's 24FPS, WOW! Wait tell these babies mature. This thread is that wave of excitement driven by passionate people that strive for better control and performance for their work.

Awesome times , indeed.......

Weren't you just sad yesterday!? Hehehe

first iusse i'm finding is you need to hold the shutter release button down. not a true intervalometer. wonder if there is a way to "lock it" so the shutter release functions like a start and stop button.

Zak- I read that there is a true intervelometer- your talking about continuous bursts- There should be a menu just like the d200 where you can set how many frames per second (or minute) and how long in between frames, and for how many frames.- or at least thats what I read.

hi i am new...and just got the d 90...does anybody no how to get this thing to work,in low light...i have a lot video cams with low light..like the cannon..hv-30 and hf-10..
and they do very good...the nikon has a big chip..and i cant get it to go doen to 1/30 sec,
and its very bad at low light....john

I'm signing of to get some sleep, and I can only hope I just don't roll back to this thread like a jojo...

I hope to see more test videos and info when I wake up tomorrow. I would especially like to see if testing bearing's CRT-method on all Easy exposure steps gives us any useful information about shutter speed.

Good day, everyone.
