New Sony HD Cam with Changeable Lenses?

I have recently learned that Sony plans to come out with a new camera in the next month or two - HD with the ability to change lenses, probably in the $5,000 range. Does anyone know of any potential strengths or drawbacks of this camera?

HDV is a recording format. HD is a broadcast standard. HDV is a way to record an HD signal.

Pros and cons? Who knows until it's out? Only things we can even guesstimate on are that it's HDV and it's rolling shutter CMOS, both big cons in my book; it's interchangeable lens which is a big plus in many books, and it also allows for recording compactflash instead of tape which is pretty cool. But frankly nobody really knows anything about it; we'll probably hear a lot more in mid-April.

Let's Hope Pana Follows suit with this form factor. Interchangeable lenses is the end-all at this point, especially with the Le brothers coming out with a relay. That and AVC-Intra.

Excellent info, the brochure is quite detailed. Looks like it may use the same lens mount as the HD100. Also looks like they've created a new form of HDV which sounds an awful lot like Canon's 24F/30F recording format -- I wonder if it will actually be compatible with Canon?
