New Sony 4K camera at NAB

No doubt the 4k camera will see first light as the next generation panavision as a square boot to Red on productions that can afford it. Good speculation that it could do 3d on one sensor via some kind of lens prism relay. The existing Genesis/ f35 will be relegated to episodic tv, with 4k for features.

I'm not quite so cynical. :-)
Besides, video compressed and uploaded on Vimeo or Youtube begins to look all the same.

I am interested in any kind of new technology in our field. 4K cameras? They have my attention!

I'm not sure Sony is allowed in Panavision's offices anymore? There was a shoot-on-sight directive for quite some time.
