you look like a kid. not good for business. you would be better served using a photo of some of your work than one of yourself holding a camera.

Spelling equipment wrong isn't going to help either man haha. Much improved from your last design though.

some improvement but there's still a long way to go.

and I have to agree: featuring a photo of yourself like that on the cover doesn't exactly make me want to hire you. that picture says: "hi, I'm very young, I don't have any equipment and I don't know what I'm doing, but I'll gladly take your money". The front page should not feature yourself but an example of what you've done.

also, the buttons are not good

take a read through this page and do some creative thinking:

Now I need to be honest here. To be brutally honest, I don't like it. The fonts, the borders around the buttons, the image, the background behind the image, all of it.

Just screams amateur to me.

Check out everyone's sites on the board (check sigs) and get some ideas. Some have complex stuff with shockwave, some have simple stuff (like mine).

Think simple. Not just in content, but also color. Don't keep it to one color, but decide on perhaps 2-3 colors that go well together and design it around that (I'm talking about dominant colors). Currently your Blue is too bright for the black background. If you're going to use that blue, or rather any blue, I would suggest a different secondary color. I would go with white, or something else rather than basic black. It doesn't always have to be a black background. I used black for my background because it goes well with my style, and it works well with the colors I chose.

Then the pic you have, like everyone said, seems too amateurish. Not only do you look young, it's obviously sunny (which contrasts the black background), it meshes with the blue scribbled background, but it also looks like it was shot on a simple digital camera. When you're trying to be professional, have a professional photo, or none at all.

Never use the borders provided by the tables around your buttons. IMO they look terrible, always.

As for fonts, study fonts closely. Fonts matter. Fonts are very essential and often overlooked if you're a beginner working with graphics. You can download loads of free ones online. Think, do you want seriff (with the little lines, like in times new roman) or sans seriff (without those lines, like ariel)? There are fonts based on caligraphy, some are a bit silly, there are all kinds of fonts. Look for the fonts that look proffesional, or artistic. Study some of the fonts you see on our sites and see how it goes with the style and theme of the whole page.

Your current font is a sans-seriff based a bit on caligraphy. I'd suggest you go with something not based on calligraphy.

the picture was taken with a 10,000 dollar camera loll...Its a really good one, thanks guys

Just goes to show that its not the camera that makes the picture.

Overall this does look alot better than your first attempt, but I have to agree with most of the advice given here. I would especially advise you to get rid of the picture.

Take a look around, find some other production company sites that you like, see what others are doing...

basically.... steal.
:)

Well thats what i did for this other site, but i didn't like it. Guys, i'm not hiring someone to do my site, i don't have the money. I barely have any right now. I'm going to make it, and I thought this site actually looked half decent. Yes I will change the spelling error, I will change my picture....Now the font, say someone goes on my site, and the font I picked isn't installed on their computer, what font will they get?

Photo of a teen. Might as well be blowing a bubble. Also uses an individual's name. No good. Also how to pronounce the name? Co-mo? Cuh-mo? Com-uh? Come up with a different name. Just replace you and your DVX (get a room you two!) with a series of best-of stills from work you've done (your sister in the kitchen, the wedding, your cute girlfriend, etc.)

I must say, the picture is fine and the site structure is fine but everything else needs a little update. Consider contemporary design using CSS. Less backgrounds, more creative use of color. What's going to make your website work, flow, memorable? PM me some sites you like and I'll give you some more ideas. I'm very contemporary and am all for the sleek minimalistic, yet functional look. I personally feel the sachtler site is the best website for film I've seen in a long while.

como, i think it looks good. if your doing it yourself and you're not a web designer, just remember to keep it really simple and professional.

thats a lot better but maybe colour correct the 'b & g kissing' it looks like you've got the white balance wrong, i know it maybe a stylistic choice but i wouldn't want to look pinkypurple on my big day

i thought of that too, but since the background is blue, I thought the blueish image kinda worked. Maybe color correct it and see which one looks better.

Well the raw image is fine, but i CCed it to match the background, so i gave it a blue tine. Like smpproductions said, it was bluey...So it looks bad? Should i just make it to it's original colors?
