FS7: new Sigma EF to e-mount adapter with full function

Sigma states the MC-11 will basically be like having a native E Mount lens on the Sigma EF Mount version lens. Thats a big deal. The Metabones auto focus is horrible. If AF works that good with the MC-11 in stills mode and video mode I will be thrilled and definitely getting the 50-100 f1.8 to go with my Sigma 18-35.

The Sigma PR material says nothing about video cameras. I've requested a press evaluation loaner so hopefully Sigma will get one to me when they ship. While I was at it, also requested a 50-100 and the 30mm e mount. So far, really haven't found any E to EF adapter that will autofocus properly on the FS5 or FS7.

Ned - just read up myself and was looking for any mention about video as well... and I believe you are correct. Please let us know if that 50 - 100 is par focal on the FS7. For the price - I'm not sure it has a place in my bag right now... but I do like my Sigma 18 -35 (just wish it were full frame to use w/ focal reducer and my 5DIII).
As for AF... not a big deal for me... in "green" mode, both my Metabones do AF w/ my Canon lenses... but obviously presents other problems and "advanced" mode serves better purpose.

I'll keep everyone in the loop once Sigma loans me the gear. The 50-100 appears to be heavy and I do not believe it has any IS. I am going to venture a guess it is not parfocal.

Great. I am especially wondering how the AF will be between Canon lenses and Sony a7S.

Im very pleased with the parfocal-ness in my copy of Sigma 24-105 Art. But ive come to hear others have definetly not recieved good copies of the same lens, and returned because it was not parfocal. Might give it (or a couple copies) a try myself before i decide.

Thanks Ned! Yes, I'd be very, very interested to see how this adapter performs with the FS5 and FS7.
