C100: New Sigma 50mm F1.4 Wide Open

Love this new Sigma 50mm. I wanted to see how well it performed wide open so I did a quick backyard shoot.

Did a little write up too.

Approximately 4 seconds to lock focus. The lens has a clicking sound while with one shot AF. Definitely louder than the 24-105.

Very smooth. Really nice. The lens barrel is large and takes a 1/4 turn for the full range. As you can see I did a pretty large rack and it didn't take me very many times to nail it. Also lens breathing seems very minimal too.
I set my C100 to blue peaking and black and white while in magnification. Makes focusing really easy.

Wow is that thing shallow!! Every person seems to love those "ART" lenses.

I have the 18-35 too. Nice set. Makes me want the 35mm.
