That was really really well done. Fun to watch... had to check it out 2 times in a row. Great story with a bit of a serious feel that turns into a hilarious ending.
I expect we'll see lots more great stuff from you in the future. Definitely one of the best first films seen on this site!!!
I liked this a lot. You guys have a really good sense of how to put together a short film with all the details coming together just right. Really creative stuff here. This and your "George Clooney" movie have a really great dark humor to them. I'll be looking forward to your future work. Keep it up.
Besides the shakyness in some of the first establishing shots I thought the movie was really really great. For a first movie, most excellent. Good job.
Very nice short. You kept my interest. I like how your videos (George Clooney and this one) set a certain mood. Dark, disturbing, and funny. I like the last shot too. Great ending.
That was awesome, man. The "no-light setup" was great. How did you do that ,since part of the light came from the window and its intensity and color temperature changes very fast along the day? I watched only once until now, but didn´t notice any difference between shots.
Good to see this thread is still alive
Except from the outdoor scene at the end, we shot the entire short in one
weekend due to time pressure. The scenes from the first day(in the film) were shot on saturday,
and the scenes from the next were shot on sunday, so i guess we just were a little lucky with the weather.
Nice work! Although the technicals were done well, I didn't pay much attention to them. I was engrossed in the story; which doesn't happen to often in many short films. Looking forward to more work from you.
That was really well done, I enjoyed it. I really liked the wide angle lens distortion and the way you framed the shots with the doorways. When the blind guy spits the stuff in the other guys eyes I cracked up. The way the scream and his voice sounded was so funny. I really liked the lighting, it was simple but I liked the illumination from the light coming through the windows. Great Job and good visual storytelling. The only thing was just the little unsteady shots, but thats a very small issue, and I was hooked into the story so it didn't bother me too much. Overall GREAT JOB for your first film I enjoyed it!!
You guys did this one before "George Clooney" right? You really know how to tie all of the visual storytelling together with great shots/ edits. I look forward to seeing more of your shorts. These first two have been very engaging. Keep it up.
I really like how you put the story together and how all teh events led up one after another. can't wait to see more of you work. ahh and I really liked how you used aphex twin in there that was sweet. one question what exactly does the animorphic adapter do? does it just stretch the image to see more?
what a great short film. very well done. you should submit this to festivals. maybe considr getting money and re shooting it going for a higher production value with more actors and expanded dialogue/scenes. but yeah, the ending is great and very thoughtful. though i think what the friend tried to do to his buddy was a little extreme!
