New short film "Abandoned" shot on 7D

Just posted "Abandoned", a 1-minute short film about an abandoned log cabin I filmed this summer with my Canon 7D.

The cabin is only accessible by canoe, so I had to travel light. It was my first time using the indie-slider, which worked out pretty well. It's a little sticky, but with practice you can get some smooth shots.

It was shot in about a hour (that's as long as I could stand the mosquitoes) :)

Any comments are welcome. Enjoy.

The images are straight out of the camera. No grading or Magic Bullet looks.

Actually, I've never really been that confident grading video footage after-the-fact. I usually just take the time to make sure what's in the lens is what a client will be happy with.

Does anyone know any good tutorials on grading/colour correction? It would be nice to see a step-by-step approach, rather than just picking a preset "look" with 3rd party software.

And there was me thinking it was a narrative. It's more like a slider test. lol

Nice footage though. :)
