New Server/ Problems?

That sucks that it's faulty..

I like most of the upgrades so far, and i tried going without the listing for a bit (all day(!))...
..but you know what? I miss it. :cry: I really liked beeing able to see who's online - it gave it a sorta "family" feel to know who all was chilling out at any given time.
Now I feel like I'm calling out into a dark room without knowing who can hear me. :undecided


..Actually, one feature of some other forums I visit :lipsrseal is a user listing on each page (subforum, and thread) so I can see who else is reading/posting in a topic that I'm participating in - without having to go click on "who's online"
Any chance of such a feature?

Initially loading the site has been really sluggish for me for some reason. It's since the application has been located in the cgi-bin. When it was under v3/ it didn't do that. Also posting, etc has about a 5-10 second delay. Got me.
 
weird. This is what loads when I go to the site:

mm i just rebooted to try and find out why you are getting a cgi-bin.. that CGI script hasnt been used for years (dvxuser.com was first a cgi script, now its PHP)

are you typing in dvxuser.com?
 
What's with the "proceed" screens popping up when you post or some other functions? Necessary? Just curious....
 
Love those useless info boxes. It'd be differnt if there was also a Cancel button, but just saying Oo looky...I did what you told me to do?
 
some people keep hitting that dam button 50 times when they post something and dont wait for the next page.. so those info boxes are for those dumbasses that cant wait.
 
It's like drop frame TC.

Sure 2 frames every 9th mintues isn't much, but that's well over a minute (86 secconds) over an entire day! A MINUTE!! ..of my life gone!

ah jeeze that's what it was. I had it bookmarked to the old script from way back in the day. Weird that it was still working. Oh well. All fixed now.
 
yeah i have a 404 redirect script that dumps people to the main page if they hit an old page.. man youve been doing that for years :)
