New RED camera?

What I found from REDUSER and puzzled together is-
It's called RAVEN and the logo is inspired on an Airforce Airplane logo.
So it might be a drone camera.

Oh I see. The 4.6k models have the better DR/shutter?
Yes, it's a new sensor, that is switchable between rolling and global shutter.

But, for $3.000 new, they're also selling a Mini with an old 4K sensor that came out a year ago with URSA Heavy.

It's confusing to people and a little carelessly thought out on BMD side. Instead of naming it 4K and 4.6K (well... 4.6 it's still 4 not 5 isn't it?) they should call them differently, like: ursa mini and ursa mini pro or whatever. A lot of people still mistakenly takes 4K version as the only one.

That sounds like the best guess. Something to be more competitive against the Alexa Mini.

Red is a self-proclaimed cinema camera maker. It will be a big diversion to knock out a GoPro competitor.
Even Sony has a Go Pro competitor. However Go Pro still remains ahead of the pack. And it is a very profitable niche with customers buying every year. Next year I will again line up to buy a Go Pro with a higher bit rate in 4 K.

RED will come out with a camera for drones with RAW. On the ground you can use it (with attachments) like a regular camera. :) At the moment Go Pro is the only camera that is designed to be #4K4ALL

Beats my expectation by $2K. Also, the sensor seems a bit small but with the 4K sensor being 20mm wide, it seems it's basically a crop of the 30.7mm-wide 6K Dragon sensor, which would have been my guess also if I had ran the numbers.

My wild guess: $8K (half as a Scarlet, but needs the same accesories).
