New Red Camera image!

It looks to me like the camera "dresses down" to be an SLR, and "dresses up" to be a more proper cine camera. The million dollar question is....

Will the main body be for both scarlet and epic? Or will they be different independent systems with the same concept?

That's exactly what I was just posting. You'll get a DSMC when you need it, then throw on the digital back and you get a camera the size of an HVX200 body with the extra bells and whistles.

That goes for Audio ports, Drives, Batteries, Monitor outputs etc.

I can't see how Epic will be anything more than this, though. I know if they do this right and they live up to their late 09 Delivery Dates things are going to get really hairy from there on out.
 
I am with Kholi again on this one and i raise him $2k. I m willing to pay $12k for redcode, 35mm nikon interchangeable lens system even if it shoots in max 2k resolution.

A DSMC is a camera that shoots stills and motion. Configure that camera any way you want.

Select a brain. Configure your body.

Yeah, you're right. I'll cave at 12K. Way I figure it, my HydraHVX kit would have been somewhere around 15K with 35mm Adapter as of today if it were out, might as well.
 
question is what is the future for 35mm dof adapter makers out there ? Especially the high end ones like the letus ultimate and p+s teknik ?
 
They will stay around for a while, but their cost will eventually drop. The cost of a cheap camera and adapter will not be far off from what it may cost for a Scarlet.
