First off sorry if most of these questions have been discussed already, but I'm just looking for a quick reference to a few questions I have before pre ordering this camera. I'm new to Canon all together and the only dslr experience I have is with the gh1.
My first question is the codec. It looks to me that this is a much more stable codec than the avchd implementation in the gh1 and I understand it shoots native 24p. Basically I am wondering if the footage will simply come off the CF card already to go in Final Cut Pro. No need for transcoding or pull down removal and no worry of "mud"?
My next question is CF cards. I am new to these as well and I am wondering what is a good card to use and what type of time you get to a card. For example a 16gb CF card will hold about how much 108024p footage?
Last question is lenses. I know nothing about Canon glass and I have only used Nikon. What would be the best lens options for a basic setup of say a 28mm, 50mm, and around a 100mm without breaking the bank?
