NEW ptool - GOP1 and more than 85mbps average avchd!

Yes, this settings are not for everyday and everytime use. I try it with sandisk 16gb 45mb/s and i still have error at very detayled scense, but less errors at all. I make more than 30GB footage and i can say that this settings is not for heavy detayled daylight scenes. But i stay on it for close shootng with short DOF and for wide apperture shooting with NDfilter. It is give me smoother motion than my old gop2 settings an than other possible 24p settings, and color like mjpeg. Anyway i like cinema looking footage and for this reason i never shoot at closed apperture and always use faderND.
 
Try this some changed settings. I set GOP2 to 720 60P and it works good. Not for heavy detailed daylight scenes, but for most scenes it works good. I increase bitrate to 119900000 and patch is more stable now. I do not shooting trees or bushes, and i do not have errors.

Native 24p/25p=Checked
Video Bitrate FHD/SH=119900000
Video Bitrate H=74000000

Overall Bitrate=119900000
720p60 GOP Size=2
1080p24 GOP Size=1
Preset bitrate=1199

It cant be GOP 1. Mpeg is intraframe codec. In fact what GOP 1 is trying to make is imitate the intraframe codec by flacing a 1 key every frame.
 
Sorry i stand corrected it is only mpeg mode....

I have been able to go over 30 seconds in gop1 AVCHD but only using Canon 50mm 1.8 FD lens, and it looks fantastic.
 
Those that have been successful with this hack, how do you like it next to the 100MB Max Latitude Hack?

100MB Max Latitude Hack is match better for wide range of shooting goals. It is stable at detailed scenes and detalisation of picture is great. GOP1 patch is good for low detailed scenes and for short DOF. It makes great smothest motion without artefacts which you can see after every I-frames at Max Latitude Hack when you shoot fast motion. I love to shooting people with it. GOP1 makes high bitrate numbers even at dark and low detailed scenes. I do not know about dinamic range difference of this patches, but it is interesting for me, and it will be great if someone test it. May be i will try. I think that it is different patches for different works.
 
I have been tinkering with your original settings and have found that everything that I film inside comes through error-free - it looks fantastic. But once I step outside, I get instant errors. I will try your revised settings today and see how they work.

If you want to use it at daylight, you need to shooting only close objects using ND filter and wide apperture. If you have errors, try some underexpose if possible. I try to use the same way. Even with 45mbps sandisc i got errors on daylight trees.
 
You're right. Just tried it with new settings but I was only successful filming flat, undetailed surfaces and other shots with shallow dof. Returning indoors, the new settings had no adverse effects on my previously-tested setups. I will therefore use this GOP1 hack as an indoor-only setting and continue to use the Max Latitude setting for outdoors.

How have your results been with 88000000? Is it stable with foliage in harsh sunlight? Is there a noticeable loss in image quality with this setting vs telkitachki's 119900000?

Instant lockups with foliage and outdoor scenes. All indoor scenes are fine though.

Here is some test footages. I don`t know about quality of Wimeo compression, so it would be better to download original file with lower compression. It is not possible now to upload raw mts files, but i will do it after, if you need.

GF1 User here.

I've seen the bits/(Pixel*Frame) got as high as 2.0 in some other videos.
Not sure if that is relavent at all. I'm no technical genius. :]
